Shakti Rising for Teen Girls

The Teen Shakti Workshops are for girls in high school who want straightforward information about sexuality presented in a positive, fun, and loving way. Neither “pro nor con,” we focus on how to make informed choices that honor your body, mind, and spirit. We’ll talk about bodies, being safe, and how things work physically. We’ll explore listening to your heart and dealing with emotions. We will celebrate the radiant and powerful goddess within. Join us for an unforgettable day of magic where you will:
- Explore the topic of sexuality and sensuality in a sacred circle with other girls
- Get answers to your questions and find your own truth
- Celebrate and feel awesome about being a young woman
- Be empowered to know and express your boundaries
- Get straightforward, clear information about sexuality and choices
- Dance, interact, eat yummy snacks, do art, create a ritual, and have fun!

We are deeply committed to create a safe and honoring environment. There will be no overt sexual activity in the workshop (homework is done in the privacy of your own room). We will always support you to make choices that are right for you.
About the presenters: Lisa Schrader (see About Me) will be joined by John Hunter. John has studied human sexuality since 1975 and has taught Tantra and Sexuality workshops since 1997. He has been a leader in a variety of capacities in the ManKind Project for 15 years, an organization that supports men to live lives of authenticity and integrity in service to the world. John and Lisa are in a committed relationship together and delight in serving the expansion of others with their combined 25 years of experience teaching sexuality.

Shakti Rising Women’s Retreat
Friday through Sunday
Join other conscious women for a retreat designed to help you access, honor and celebrate your uniquely feminine sensual essence. We are committed to women experiencing their “Shakti,” their feminine power, not only for the joy of their own pleasure, but as a healing force for balancing and harmonizing our world.
In the workshop you will:
- Uncover, heal and release blocks to your sensual energy and power
- Discover your unique definition of the sacred feminine
- Unleash your power, passion, and self expression
- Learn Tantra and sacred loving secrets for women
- Access more of your sexual energy as a way to open your heart and fuel your spiritual development
- Celebrate the goddess within and fall in love with yourself
- Enjoy a weekend of rejuvenation: meditate, dance, do yoga, laugh, eat delicious and nutritious food, rest, experience sacred ritual, and nourish yourself in the safe and supportive community of women
Workshop begins with Friday check in at 4 PM and ends Sunday at 5 PM. The workshop is held at a beautiful, private retreat center in the Sierra Foothills area of California (between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe). It is easily accessible from either the Sacramento or Reno airport. Open to all women, all ages, single or partnered.
Workshop fee of $697 includes all meals and workshop materials (discounts available for previous Shakti Rising attendees). Lodging costs are separate. A variety of lodging options are available from B&B style private or double occupancy rooms (around $200 per night) to dormitory style indoor rooms (around $75 per night) and even outdoor camping options (around $20 per night). Women's Shakti Circle
Join other conscious women for the kind of deep nourishment we receive when we come together in sacred circle to affirm, expand and celebrate the Divine Feminine.
