I humbly confess that I am living the life of my dreams and it keeps getting better. That doesn’t mean everything is always “perfect” but I love my life..
I discovered my soul’s purpose and was fortunate enough to get aligned with it. Perhaps that has something to do with why I was chosen to be the first Tantra and sacred sexuality teacher to appear on Oprah.
Although being wealthy means more to me than a bank balance, I’m steadily showered with abundance. I love what I call “work” so much that I’d do it even if money were no object.
Sure, I’ve put in my time and paid my dues.
I’ve achieved Professional Certified Coach status with the International Coach Federation and have logged thousands of hours over almost two decades in a thriving private practice that supports a worldwide clientele. Scores of women have come through my Awakening Shakti retreats and online programs. I’m the published author of Kama Sutra 52: A Year’s Worth of the Best Positions for Passion & Pleasure, a graduate of UCLA, and proud to be on the faculty of The Shift Network.
But as you know, success doesn’t always bring happiness. So here’s the best part….

I’m passionately in love with an incredibly beautiful, manly-man who often weeps when he looks at me because he’s so touched by “being in the presence of the Goddess.” Our lovemaking takes me to heights of ecstasy and depths of intimacy that continually astound me.
And it doesn’t stop when I’m out of the bedroom. I experience living orgasmically whether I’m swimming in the river, folding laundry, or drinking my morning Irish Breakfast tea with milk and honey as I watch the sun come up through the pines. My life is saturated with beauty, sacredness, and freedom.
However, it wasn’t always like this….
At the turn of the millennium, before my own “Shakti awakening” began in earnest, I wore frumpy housedresses and often thought of sex as another item on my relentless To-Do list.
When my husband at the time sarcastically started calling me, “The Superintendent,” I actually took pride in it: after all, I was clearly the one who wore the pants in the family and made everything happen.
When Danielle La Porte and I were talking about this, she named it: “the epidemic of the brittle woman.”
Ouch.
Then came a series of wake-up calls. The heartbreak of losing two pregnancies and having to let go of my dream to have more children. The shattering moment when my husband abruptly walked away from our 20-year marriage. Without looking back. With another woman. Having to say goodbye to the beloved river-front home we built together, where we’d raised our daughter, land that had held so many sacred gatherings for our whole community.
I know you’ve gone through your heartbreaks and unravelings too. Maybe you’re in one right now.
So you know, the big breakdowns always, eventually, usher in the biggest breakthroughs. But it doesn’t mean they don’t hurt like hell when you’re in them.
My “perfect” life falling apart, as devastating as it was at the time, gave me my wings, my work, my new life.
I saw how my relentless masculine competency and self-sufficiency had eroded the intimacy in my marriage and from that I discovered the sensual woman inside of me as an embodied Lover. In learning how to navigate grief, I learned how to Mother my own heart and love more more fully, more unconditionally. In slowing down to deeply connect to my own feminine soul, I learned to trust my intuitive clarity, making me a more powerful Leader in my life and my work.

So in a nutshell, here’s what I’m passionately up to:
I guide women in awakening their sacred feminine power,
as lovers, mothers, and leaders,
so that their awakened Shakti
can ripple out in ever-widening circles
for the good of All.
This is the New Face of the Feminine.
It’s the journey I’m on. I invite you to take my hand and join me.
And I just gotta say, the better it gets, the better it gets.
